Zé do Pipo Cod

Ingredients:

  • 500g Cod (fillet)
  • 750g Potatoes
  • 10dl Milk
  • 2 Medium Onions
  • 1 Bowl of mayonnaise
  • 1dl Olive oil
  • to taste Black olives
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Directions:

Steam the cod (previously soaked in milk). Drain and set aside the milk used for soaking.

Chop the onions and braise them in olive oil, bay leaf, salt, pepper and some of the milk used for soaking the cod.

Steam the potatoes and mash them until smooth. Place the cod in a dish in the oven, place onion over the slices and cover them completely with mayonnaise.

Surround with mashed potatoes and put it in the oven until golden.

Garnish with black olives.
